About me
ondine jacobs
I stumbled into painting accidentally after being medically forced out of the workforce in mid-2023. I discovered Michelle Iglesias' acrylic painting tutorial on YouTube, which resonated with me due to my traumatic brain injury (TBI) from a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 2005, making learning new things challenging. However, her teaching style enabled me to comprehend the instructions, leading me to paint a sunset based on a photo taken by my nephew on my front porch in Michigan. I became addicted from the very first brushstroke.
Realizing my passion for art with a message, I've gifted several paintings to family and sold some while honing my skills in acrylic painting. After just seven months, I began entering gallery competitions with my learning process paintings and have received "FINALIST AWARDS" in every competition entered to date. I've already planned numerous collections, the first titled "EMPOWERING WOMEN," each comprising eight to ten paintings. I aim to create the introductory painting for each collection as soon as possible to announce its upcoming release while concurrently working on the remaining pieces. I anticipate completing my first collection between the end of May and the beginning of June.
